The Ecuadorian Candidate
“The Ecuadorian Candidate” follows the story of Andres Arauz, a young economist, as he embarks on a journey to become the next President of Ecuador. With unfettered access to Arauz’s campaign, the film portrays his relentless effort to win the hearts and minds of the Ecuadorian people and deliver his message of change, justice, and equality, despite facing opposition from the political establishment and media.
It follows a gripping, nail-bitter campaign, in which Arauz struggles to challenge the old guard, tormented by a recent past dominated by specters and betrayals.
